I am undertaking a Masters Degree in Games Design, and this blog is, in simple terms, to be my diary for the next year, in terms of academic work. I will be posting information on my research, experimentation, and the development of my ideas and work in general.
Our initial gathering of fellow Games Designers began today, and task No.1 was to create this blog. Task No. 2 - Decide what you what to study for the next year.......errrmmmm. The second task being a little more challenging than the first, yet I do have a general area of study that I am interested in.
I believe Games can be used as a powerful media form, and not simply for entertainment. I want to see and understand how games could be used to help people learn in a more interactive way, yet not simply through playing games, but also through creating games.
Thus ends the first post, yet there will likely be many more to come.
